1980 –Ph.D. in Clinical –Community Psychology , the University of South Carolina. 

1982-Licensed by the Virginia Board of Psychology

Honored in 1995 and 2004 for Professional Contribution by the Mental Health Association of Roanoke Valley.

Dr. Pratola is a Registered Play Therapist- Supervisor credentialed by the Association for Play Therapy

Dr. Pratola has completed Beginner and Intermediate Levels of Training in Hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr. Pratola is a student of Gisela Schubach De Domenico, Ph.D., MFT, RPT-S founder of Sandtray-Worldplay and Dynamic Expressive Play Therapy.

Dr. Pratola was an Age Group Member of TEAM USA: Duathlon World Championship Rimini Italy 2008; Duathlon World Championship Charlotte, NC, USA 2009
